Clean house

Journal Blog post

I hate cleaning. Every time I turn around the sink is filled with dirty dishes and there is another load of dirty laundry. I don’t like mopping, sweeping and picking up the house but I do. Being clean is very important. There is nothing worse when you get unexpected company and you are embarrassed of your house because it is not picked.up. I try to keep my house to a level of cleanliness so that anytime somebody decides to stop by they are welcome to come in.
I don’t care what anybody says but when you walk in the house and it smells or looks nasty you label the person as white trash or nasty. That wont be me.
Especially with children it is hard to keep up, because they seem to use their cup only once and like to change their clothes four times a day. I still have to stay in the routine because my kids need to learn to be clean. They are very young but I make them help me clean. I think they enjoy it sometimes but at other times they break down crying when I tell them that they have to finish their chores before they can go play or have company. I have a little girl and I want her to be a clean person because one day she will be a mother and that is part of the skills of a good mother, to be clean.
Sometimes it is hard to get motivated and get up to do the chores but it is worth it. I enjoy it when my house is clean and everything is in its place. My head feels clear and I am ready to tackle my other responsibilities. The best way to relax is to relax in a clean house.
