July 15th Journal Blog Entry

My computer crashed several days ago. It took me two days and hours of messing with it to get it back running, not to mention I had to download all the programs that were not recovered.
I just wonder who is so bored that they think it would be fun to crash other people's computers. I know they are probably trying to steal some information or something to make some money. Seriously, they must just be some lonely guys that think they actually achieve something by programming these things, all they are doing is annoying people (well unless they actually succeed and get all your personal information).
But messing with the computer, I realized I would never want to do this for a living and probably could not be a computer geek. I also found out to back up the files that are important regularly or you loose everything. All I really want to be able to do is go online and upload pictures, that is all I care about.
I was ready to pull my hair out after messing with the laptop all day and it still did not work. Everybody I contacted wanted outrageous amounts of money to get rid of the problem. I had a everything imaginable, worms, Trojan horses and viruses Just a horrible experience, I guess I need to get some better virus protection. Also all the computer labs and libraries seem to be closed when your computer crashes and you have homework due. I had to ask my neighbors to let me use their P.C.
I hope that never happens again, my fiancé and I almost broke up over it. But all is good now, got the computer running fast and nobody got into my bank account and took all my money. Better luck next time.
