Final Blog Reflection

When I first read that we have to keep a blog journal I was kind of annoyed. I figured that it would be the most boring assignment. After going to the writing prompts I started to get ideas of what to write about. The first couple of blog entries were challenging. 300 words seem to take forever to write. But once I started I actually had fun with it.
I was able to show some of my personality with the blog. I actually e-mailed my friends in Illinois the link to the blog and had them read some of the stories. I thought some of the writing prompts were great. But the further along I came with the blog the less prompts I found suitable to write about. I was running out of things to write every time. I had already used the prompts that interested me.
The last couple of entries to the blog felt like a chore unless something interesting had happened that day, such as a news topic I could write about. I do not think the blog changed my writing a whole lot. It usually took me quite a while to write an entry. It takes me a longtime to come up with ideas to write about and also think about the body of the blog entry. I am a pretty slow writer so it was kind of hard. With all the ups and down it was fun overall and I hope my friends enjoyed the blog as well.
I am surprised that I had an opinion on so many things and some of the blogs made me feel pretty proud, because they were funny or from the heart. I think it was a good experience to write this blog at the same time I will probably not write into this blog as frequently s I did without it being part of my grade.

  1. Great reflection. It is a fact that writing, at times, is a chore even for professional writers. It is the nature of the beast. Although I write my personal blog just for myself, my friends and family like reading it and they don't let me slack much. My personal blog has become words and thoughts I will be leaving my children. That is a good thing, so I hope you keep writing. ~Ms. A.
